My journey into breeding began with a litter of Golden Aussie Doodles. I was fortunate to have a wonderful mentor who not only offered advice but also shared helpful resources and even provided stud services at no cost. Their kindness and guidance helped me start off on the right foot, and I’ll always be grateful for that support.

Of course, the road hasn’t been without its challenges. I’ve dealt with skepticism, a few competitive jabs, and the ups and downs of a changing puppy market. But despite all that, I found something I didn’t expect. Breeding wasn’t just a hobby or side interest. It felt like home. It was a calling that connected deeply with my roots.

This passion runs in my family. I was named after Corinne, an accomplished Doberman breeder who poured her heart into her dogs. My grandmother raised Boston Terriers. And for generations, my family has valued rescue work just as much as breeding. My grandfather and father both taught me to show compassion, take responsibility, and always make room for dogs who needed a second chance. Those values shaped the way I approach everything I do at Sun & Sand Goldens. Every puppy I raise is cared for with love, integrity, and a deep sense of purpose.

The Compassionate Breeder Movement

Today, animal welfare is evolving, and I’m proud to be part of a growing movement focused on raising pets with intention and heart. Through The Compassionate Breeder Program, we put the emphasis where it belongs on raising healthy, emotionally well-rounded animals who are meant to be true family members.

We follow high standards in how we select our breeding pairs, focusing on health, temperament, and genetic diversity. We believe in open, honest communication with every family who reaches out, and we’re committed to matching each puppy with a home where they will be truly cherished.

We also take responsible breeding seriously. That means we prioritize quality over quantity and never lose sight of the bigger picture when it comes to pet overpopulation.

Our approach includes complete genetic screening to help produce healthier puppies with better long-term outcomes. We also pay close attention to socialization, giving our puppies the tools to grow into confident, stable dogs who connect easily with their new families. With help from trusted veterinary partners and expert nutritional support, we continue to raise the bar in both care and compassion.

Unlocking Puppy Potential

Every puppy deserves a strong foundation, and two of the most powerful tools we use are Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI).

ENS starts when puppies are just a few days old. From days 3 to 16, we gently introduce a series of small exercises that have been shown to improve neurological development, support stronger immune systems, and help puppies become more adaptable as they grow.

ESI begins at around 3 weeks old. During this time, we expose puppies to a variety of scents in a calm, structured way. This helps boost their scenting ability, supports cognitive development, and builds confidence.

Together, ENS and ESI give our puppies a head start not just physically, but emotionally. They’re better equipped to handle life’s changes, challenges, and excitement.

Always Learning, Always Improving

I believe that to give my puppies the best, I have to keep growing too. That’s why continuing education is such a big part of what I do. I hold degrees in Canine Science, Veterinary Assisting, and Pharmacy Technology, and I regularly complete additional training through respected programs like the CDC, Tulane University, Wageningen University, the AAHA, ASPCA, and IAABC.

These studies have helped me become certified in important areas like vaccine protocols, microchipping, infectious disease prevention, and canine behavior. I’m also Fear Free Certified, which means I work to reduce stress and anxiety in the dogs I care for.

This constant learning allows me to raise healthier, more confident puppies, support my families with real knowledge, and stay grounded in the values that matter most to me.
